Caterina & Luck
July 03, 2020
No one doubts that COVID-19 is one of the direst threats the world has ever faced. And yet, amidst the confusion and anxiety, there are ever stronger signs of hope and solidarity, a sense of, and desire for, togetherness.Cat and Lucke decided to still get married on their date on quarantine days, caused by COVID-19, at the beautiful middle Brighton beach in a cozy restaurant—the bath—with only their best friends accompanying them. To me, their marriage was a symbol of togetherness into the toughest time of isolation on the earth! Their wedding was a great relief for me during the absolute madness. It was my last wedding in 2020, and I put my camera down for months due to things out of my control, and I entered the darkest, longest loneliness I ever had.Such a strange carrier I have! Wedding photographers partake in a community of strangers for a day, take their pictures, and leave them, but he or she will love them forever as if they are all their family. Now, I am writing this, I miss these strangers so much and feel how deeply I love my carrier!
